THE CHALLENGE

The University of South Carolina requested a custom Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) cloud solution to improve the university’s IT agility. USC asked for a near-production experience during disaster recovery but also to be able to be outside of a geographical natural disaster zone while keeping data in-state. They needed connectivity allowing the latency to remain in a single-digit round trip and security to include data protection and governance for when there is a potential issue of data sovereignty.
