Eastern Iowa Edge IX an “Exemplar to the Wider Industry”
Dallas, TX, January 4, 2021 – DartPoints, an owner and operator of edge colocation data centers, proudly announces its Eastern Iowa carrier neutral interconnection point has earned the DCD>Global Awards Edge Data Center Project of the Year. Conceived and designed in partnership with local networks, associations and municipal entities, the facility serves as a network ecosystem aggregation and meet-me point between carriers, content and applications. It illustrates the art of the possible for struggling edge markets.

DartPoints’ Eastern Iowa facility reimagines the way data traffic is managed, processed and fulfilled. It lays a firm foundation to expand and improve content and application performance to meet rapidly evolving demands at the edge. The facility went live with an RFS announcement issued in June 2020. Additional partners included Connected Nation and TMGcore with engagement from the Governor of Iowa’s office. “Support from State leaders, like Governor Reynolds and Lieutenant Governor Gregg, are critical.” adds Willis. “This shows what we can achieve when we partner with state broadband initiatives. Eastern Iowa now directly reaps the benefits of State incentives. They have local digital infrastructure to support remote work and learning demands and to drive future prosperity and growth.”
